Teapot pour
A teapot should pour without the lid falling forward. The rest of the note is how we do that in the studio.
Fill it and pour at the sink once. A dribble at the spout is the flaw to look for. A cold pot steals the heat. A rinse with hot water is enough.
Hold the lid with a thumb if you must, but the pot should not require it.

Warm the pot if you care about the first cup.

Teapot pour is a note from the studio, not a rule for every house. The pieces in this edit were finished with this habit in mind.
If a piece you have does not match the note, send a question with the name of the piece. The reply is more useful than a general rule.
An inquiry is the way to ask. Nothing on this page is a charge.
Keep the habit small enough that it happens. That is the care these pieces were made for.
