Oak oil
Oil is a finish you renew, not a coat you forget. The rest of the note is how we do that in the studio.
Wipe with the same oil, thin, along the grain. A thick coat stays sticky. Once a season is enough in a dry room. If a drop soaks in, the finish is thin. Oil it before the mark becomes a ring.
A dry patch is the signal, not a stain.

Oil is a finish you renew, not a coat you forget.
Water should bead, not soak.
If a drop soaks in, the finish is thin. Oil it before the mark becomes a ring.
Oak oil is a note from the studio, not a rule for every house. The pieces in this edit were finished with this habit in mind.
If a piece you have does not match the note, send a question with the name of the piece. The reply is more useful than a general rule.
An inquiry is the way to ask. Nothing on this page is a charge.
Keep the habit small enough that it happens. That is the care these pieces were made for.
