Dress ease
Ease is the room between the cloth and the body. The rest of the note is how we do that in the studio.
Lift your arms and sit down in it. If the waist climbs, there is not enough cloth there. Linen does not stretch back. A knit forgives a closer cut. Do not use one rule for both.
A dress with no ease binds when you sit.

Ease is the room between the cloth and the body.
Linen needs more ease than a knit.
Linen does not stretch back. A knit forgives a closer cut. Do not use one rule for both.
Dress ease is a note from the studio, not a rule for every house. The pieces in this edit were finished with this habit in mind.
If a piece you have does not match the note, send a question with the name of the piece. The reply is more useful than a general rule.
An inquiry is the way to ask. Nothing on this page is a charge.
Keep the habit small enough that it happens. That is the care these pieces were made for.
